Arrest in Drug Trafficking Investigation

The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) have made an arrest following a drug trafficking investigation.  

On April 15, 2025, the SJIEU arrested an individual without incident.  

As a result of the investigation, the following evidence was seized: 

  • 13.4 grams fentanyl (street value $4,020)  
  • 2.1 grams crack cocaine (street value $200)  
  • Canadian Currency $8, 230  
  • Digital Scales  
  • Collapsable Baton  
  • Cell phone  
  • Fixed blade knife 

The accused was remanded into custody and appeared on April 17, 2025, for a bail hearing. The following charges have been laid; possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime, probation violation and possession of weapon dangerous to the public. 

The Integrated Enforcement Unit (I.E.U.) consists of officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  Their mandate is to target drug trafficking, weapons and organized crime offences.
