The Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) have made arrests in a drug trafficking investigation.
On June 11, 2026, at approximately 2:10 p.m., IEU arrested a 41-year-old male and a 27-year-old female without incident from a vehicle on Britain Street in Saint John.
As a result of the arrests, the following evidence was seized by police including, but not limited to:
- 80.87 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl
- 159.1 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine
- A cell phone
- Digital scales
- $883.95 Canadian currency
The total approximate street value of seized drugs is $40,333.
The 41-year-old male and the 27-year-old female were both arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
The male was held in custody and will appear in Provincial Court today. The female was released with a court date of August 20, 2026.
The Integrated Enforcement Unit consists of police officers from the Saint John Police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
