The Saint John Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Hayven Francis, 20, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
It is reported that:
On November 2, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., police responded to 23 Carleton Street, Community Correction Facility, regarding an assault with a weapon. One victim had been transported to Hospital, with nonlife threatening injuries. Another victim sustained minor injuries.
Two inmates subsequently left the facility, as a result apprehension and suspension warrants were issues for their arrests. One of the males has since been apprehended.
Correctional Services Canada has issued a Canada Wide apprehension warrant for Francis as his whereabouts are unknown.
Saint John Police in collaboration with Correctional Services Canada continue to investigation the assault.
Francis is described as 6 foot, 180 lbs, short brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen leaving 23 Carleton Street in a white Mazda 3 hatchback with Nova Scotia plates.
Francis is a 20-year-old, first time federal offender serving a 2-year sentence for Robbery, Offences under YCJA x3, Utter Threats x2, Assault Peace Officer w/weapon, Obstruct Peace Officer, and Fail to Comply with Order.
Police are warning the public to not approach the suspect. Anyone who sees Francis or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Saint John Police at 1-506-648-3333.
