With Halloween just around the corner, the Saint John Police Force would like to remind residents of a few simple safety tips to help ensure a fun and safe evening for everyone:
- Stay on one side of the road, do not zig-zag.
- Stay visible. Carry a glow stick or flashlight.
- A trusted adult should accompany young children to doors when trick-or-treating.
- Inspect all treats before consumption.
Halloween is a fun and exciting time for children and their families. If you plan to attend any festivities, please celebrate responsibly and do not drive while impaired. When driving, please do so with caution and without distractions, keeping in mind that Halloween is a busy night for young pedestrians.
As always, the Saint John Police Force will be patrolling throughout the city during Halloween. We encourage the public to contact police on the non-emergency line at 506-648-3333 if they observe suspicious or concerning activity, or to call 9-1-1 in an emergency.
Together a safe, secure, healthy community
