The Saint John Police, in partnership with Justice and Public Safety New Brunswick, conducted a Vehicle Inspection Safety Campaign on Thursday, October 9, 2025, throughout the city.

The purpose of this campaign was to promote road safety by identifying and addressing any potential hazards or violations related to vehicle maintenance and compliance with safety regulations for vehicles and taxis. Inspections included checks for valid registration, working lights and signals, tire condition, brakes, and other safety-related components.

The following are the results of the campaign:

  • 36 vehicles were inspected;
  • 13 vehicles were towed;
  • 20 violations were issued;
  • 3 warnings were issued; and
  • 3 fraudulent inspection stickers were removed.

The Saint John Police would like to thank Justice and Public Safety New Brunswick for their assistance with this campaign and would like to remind the public that promoting road safety and addressing any potential hazards or violations is always a priority. Through education and deterrence, we will continue to promote vehicle safety in our community.

Together a safe, secure, healthy community
