On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Saint John Police held its first 5K Pursuit – Run for a Cause in Rockwood Park in Saint John. Community members participated in the Holiday in a Box fundraiser by donating, walking, jogging, or running the 5-kilometre loop.
The Holiday in a Box campaign, now in its fifth year, delivers holiday comfort to vulnerable citizens in Saint John. With the contributions received from the 5K Pursuit – Run for a Cause, 60 additional packages containing essentials and gift cards will be provided to those in need this year.
The Saint John Police would like to thank the community for their turnout and enthusiasm. We are grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and volunteered, and look forward to hosting the event again next year.

“It is heartwarming to see the positive impact our Holiday in a Box campaign has had on our community’s most vulnerable adults. Events such as the 5K Pursuit go a long way in advancing the number of people we can provide a momentary glimpse into the giving and caring nature of our city. This is an actionable way to say we will not forget you especially during the busy holiday season.” Chief R. M. Bruce
Together a safe, secure, healthy community
