Police Investigate Fatal Collision – Old Black River Road

A 54-year-old man from Saint John, N.B., has died following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision. 

It is alleged that: 

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at approximately 2:05 a.m., Saint John Police, Ambulance New Brunswick and Saint John Fire Department responded to a report of an ATV collision on Old Black River Road. 

On arrival, police located a 54-year-old man who was injured after the ATV he was operating had collided with a tree. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures on scene. He was transported to hospital and pronounced dead.  

No one else was injured as a result of the collision.   

Forensic Identification and collision reconstruction were called to the scene to investigate.  

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
